• James Booth - Director of Student Ministry

    James grew up in Myrtle Beach, running the halls of Surfside PCA. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in History and Master of Arts in Teaching from Coastal Carolina. James has been serving as a youth leader at SPCA since 2004. He met his wife, Alisha at Surfside PCA and they have one little boy, Jeremiah. James has been part of the Surfside staff since the Summer of 2014.

  • Renee Goldfinch - Director of Children's Ministry

    Renee Goldfinch grew up in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina.  She earned her undergraduate degree from College of Charleston and her MBA from the Citadel.  She lives in Murrells Inlet with her husband Stephen and in their free time they enjoy traveling and doing anything outdoors.  Renee has served on the staff at Surfside PCA since August of 2012.

  • Jackie Yarborough - Director of Nursery & Preschool

    Jackie is a true native to the area. She has an Associate Degree in Science from Horry Georgetown Technical College.  She has been on staff at Surfside Presbyterian since 1998. She has served as Church Secretary, Event Coordinator, Director of VBS, and Interim Director of Children's Ministry. Jackie has been working with young children since 1989. She is married to the love of her life, Mike, and together they have five children (Brad, Karen, Lauren, Jake, Anthony) and one grandson, Noah.

  • Becky Nissen - Associate Director of Music Ministry

    Becky Nissen was brought up in a musical family in Sarasota, Florida by Christian parents.  She began studying the organ, harp, piano and flute at an early age and won a national Christian teen talent search on the harp at age 13.  She earned a music degree from the University of South Florida in Tampa, specializing in harp performance.  Becky is the mother of four boys and has dedicated her life and musical abilities to the glory of God.

  • Chris Taylor - Associate Director of Music Ministry

    Chris grew up in Atlanta, Georgia and started learning music from his grandfather when he was six years old. He has a varied musical background. In fact, since coming to Myrtle Beach he has performed at the Palace theatre and he was the leader of the house band at The Pirate's Voyage Dinner Show. Chris received Christ in 2009.  He loves to lead worship with a high view of God.  "I feel Christ is calling me to lead worship, but with a reformed "big God" emphasis. It's about exalting Christ."  Chris has been on staff since the spring of 2014.  He is married to Caitlin and has a little girl - Maggie (pictured).

  • Dave Luck - Assistant of Pastoral Care

    Dave is a “PK” (pastor’s kid).  Following in his Dad’s steps, he graduated from Nyack Missionary College, (now Nyack University) majoring in Bible, Pastoral Studies, and minoring in Philosophy with Graduate courses in Psychology at Keene College.   He and his wife, Mel, met at Delta Lake Bible Conference Center.   Between them they have four children: Dave Jr., Melody, Kelly, and Kerry.  After being Executive Director of the Conference Center for 13 years they retired and moved to Myrtle Beach.  Dave has been on staff at SPC since 2007.

  • Avery Milz - Music Ministry Assistant

    Avery was born in Nashville TN (Go Vols). His family moved to the beach when he was four years old. Avery has attended Surfside PCA for twenty-two years. His wife Stephanie and two kids, Weston and Addie also attend. Through growing up in the church he has experienced  many parts of the church body, from being a student in the youth group, to being a leader in the youth group. Serving as a deacon for a term, and now assisting in leading worship for the 8:00 and 9:30 services. Worship has always been a part of Avery's heart, and is a huge blessing to be able to help lead others into worship each week through the grace of Christ.

  • Ryan Samuels - Student Intern

    Ryan grew up in Durham, NC. He loves sports and is a fan of the North Carolina Tar Heels. He first attended college at Coastal Carolina University, but is currently completing the rest of his undergrad at Liberty University Online.  Ryan came on staff with Surfside PCA as a two-year student intern in May 2013, with the goal of spiritual growth and with a specific ministry focus to college students at Coastal Carolina University.
